They are being sent home today. Our school mask policy has not changed. Masks are still strongly recommended, but are not required.

Parents & Guardians: Please remember that the flow of traffic on the one-way street (Aspen Street) behind the school has changed to flow from to east to west. This will make for a safer drop-off and pick-up zone for our students.

Pond Creek-Hunter Parents,
With school start date about a month away and enrollment coming up soon, I thought I should take this opportunity to inform parents and students about the upcoming school year based on the current information and State and Federal guidelines. At this time, we plan on student’s first day of class starting on August 19th. We currently plan on in-person on-campus learning, unless and until, we are unable to do so because of ever changing State and/or Federal guidelines or local situations. If a student is under a doctor’s care that makes in person education a health risk, please talk to your building principal.
At this time we are not requiring face coverings, but do encourage their use especially on buses where social distancing is not possible. On buses, students will be seated in family units as much as possible and first on at back, etc. so students don’t have to pass other students when entering or exiting the bus. We have cleaned the buildings and will disinfect again before the start of school. We will utilize social distancing as much as possible and encourage students and staff to wash hands often. Hand sanitizers will be available for students to use at their convenience. Water fountains will not be available so we encourage students to bring and utilize water bottles that they can fill from the water bottle fillers. The offices are equipped with no-touch thermometers and will utilize these to monitor student temperatures to help in identifying potential illness.
I hope this helps to alleviate some anxiety that parents and students may be having, but I hope you understand that this is an ever changing situation and procedures will have to change with any new information, changes to our local situation, and/or State or Federal guidelines.
Sincerely,
Joel Quinn
